TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Foundation and the Tulsa Police Department kicked off the annual Random Acts of Kindness community giving initiative on Monday.
Random Acts of Kindness is the Tulsa Police Foundation’s annual signature event.
It focuses on nurturing the trust between the Tulsa Police Department and the community.
Donations are typically accepted in the days leading up to Random Acts of Kindness.
Officers will pick up the items and hand them out to people in need throughout the week.
Some of the gifts include meal kits, gas cards, toys and other items.
Last year, they set a record for officer participation and distribution.
This year, Tulsa Police Foundation hopes to have over 100 officers involved throughout the week.
Officers will be distributing gifts from Dec. 9 – 13.
