AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) — Former President Donald Trump’s scheduled visit to Austin on Friday is expected to cause traffic delays and road closures in and around Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
Trump is scheduled to arrive in time for a 12:30 p.m. press conference at a private terminal at AUS. Sen. Ted Cruz will also attend the event. Later in the day, he will record an episode of Joe Rogan’s podcast.
Trump’s visit comes on the same day that Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled to make a campaign appearance in Houston, where she will be joined by Cruz’s Democratic challenger, Rep. Colin Allred.
Austin officials say street closures are expected along State Highway 71, including frontage roads, between US 183 and Woodward Street.
