Shares in former President Donald Trump‘s social-media company fell to a four-month low on Monday, dropping over 5 percent after the Republican presidential nominee returned to X, formerly Twitter, for an interview with Elon Musk.

Truth Social parent Trump Media & Technology Group saw its stock price close at $24.88 per share on August 12. In pre-market trading on Tuesday the price had fallen another 3.50 percent and was close to slipping below $24 at 07:26 a.m. ET.

The sharp decline comes amid the company’s continued financial struggles—it reported a significant quarterly loss and scant revenues on Friday—and Trump’s decision to re-engage with X has raised questions about the future viability of Truth Social and TMTG The company has seen its value tied closely to the former president’s activity; the stock briefly surged following an assassination attempt on the former president in July, but the gains were short-lived.
