Donald Trump has come to the defense of the female secret service agent who shielded him during the July 13 assassination attempt, the New York Post is reporting.
During a rally in St. Cloud, Minnesota, on Saturday, Trump offered praise of the female agent saying she displayed “great bravery,” the outlet said.
“She was shielding me with everything. She wanted to take a bullet,” Trump said.
The female agent has been harshly criticized online by some for not being tall enough to protect the former president, including Elon Musk who implied the secret service agent was too short to be able to shield Trump.
