Troy University, Young Leaders of East Alabama launch states first Chamber of Commerce dual-enrollment program [Video]

PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WRBL) — The Young Leaders of East Alabama program is partnering with Troy University, to launch the state’s first Chamber of Commerce dual-enrollment program.

It’s centered all around leadership.

Linder says students will be able to meet local leaders like mayors, lawyers and business owners along both sides of the river.

One Central High School student heard about the dual-enrollment program through school, and jumped on the opportunity. Her excitement took over as she submitted her application before she could even consult the decision with her parents.

For another student, dual-enrollment was a no brainer.

The East Alabama Chamber of Commerce has a long-standing partnership with Troy. The Chamber’s CEO and president says investing in our youth is crucial, as they may be the future leaders of the communities they grew up in.
