Troy chancellor talks to Ozark teachers [Video]

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) – Ozark City Schools held their Back-To-School Breakfast where Dr. Jack Hawkins came to give some advice to teachers ahead of the new year.

As Chancellor of Troy University, Dr. Hawkins has played a crucial role in the university’s relationship with Ozark.

It’s common for people in Ozark to further their education at Troy University.

Dr. Hawkins talked to the teachers about different ways to navigate their classroom, how to handle technology and leadership.

“I would hope that nothing more that the faculty and staff know of their importance,” said Jack Hawkins. “In this community, these children will be shaped by the product of the work.”

“The staff are important. Whether they drive buses or fix meals. All of us represent a team and together we can do so much.”

Ozark City Schools’ first day officially kicks off August 6, where students will return to the classroom.
