Tropical Atlantic may be gearing up for busy end of September [Video]

The WXII 12 First Warning Weather Team is keeping a watchful eye on the tropics this week. The National Hurricane Center has identified several locations in the Atlantic as “areas of interest.”CENTRAL ATLANTICThere are two clusters of disorganized storms in the Atlantic that have potential for development. They are positioned close to one another, increasing the chance of interaction and even competiton between the two fledgling storms.The more easterly wave is made up of the remnants of Tropical Storm Gordon. It’s moving north-northeastward into an environment that is only considered marginally supportive of development. Still, the disorganized storm cluster has an outside chance to develop into a tropical depression once again over the next several days.
