WARSAW, Ky. (WXIX) – Kentucky State Police are investigating a deadly crash after a vehicle struck two people walking outside of the Gallatin County Courthouse Tuesday night.
The “major traffic accident” happened just a few minutes after 5 p.m. in Warsaw, Kentucky, KSP said.
Post 5 troopers say a 2018 Ford Escape was traveling westbound on US-42 at the intersection of KY-35 when two pedestrians were hit near the crosswalk.
The Gallatin County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and pronounced a 76-year-old woman, from Dry Ridge, dead.
Gallatin County EMS transported the other pedestrian, an 83-year-old man, of Dry Ridge, to a “medical facility” for treatment. His condition is unknown.
Family requested that KSP not release their identities at this time.
