NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — One man is dead and two other men were injured in a triple shooting Thursday afternoon in Norfolk, not far from another shooting a day earlier, police said.

The call came in around 4:45 p.m. Police responded to the 900 block of Bagnall Road, and Norfolk Police Chief Mark Talbot said officers who were on patrol nearby heard about 10 gunshots on East Olney Road. A man was pronounced dead on the scene and two additional men were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds and were seriously hurt.
Talbot, in a press conference at the scene, said it is unclear whether Thursday’s triple shooting is related to the shooting in that area the day before. The shooting Wednesday took place as a Juneteenth event was going on one street away.
