LA CROSSE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – First News at Nine’s Dashal Mentzel explains how a food drive in the Coulee region is a collaborative effort to receive and give out food.
The Salvation Army of La Crosse County has partnered with Trane Technologies and brought a “Stuff the Truck” Food Drive to La Crosse. According to Salvation Army Director of Development Michael Quam, the long-time partners are happy to work together to bring goods to the community. Quam explains, “We share a shared community. We’re both community leaders. We both help out in different ways. Trane being a large employer Salvation Army helping those that need and hand-up and not a handout. When we look for different organizations to partner with, we’re looking for those that demonstrate great leadership in our community.”
