Traffic alert: Water main break causes road closure in Covington [Video]

COVINGTON, La. — The Covington Police Department took to social media on Tuesday to announce a water main break on North Columbia Street between North Theard Street and North Jefferson Avenue.

According to police, traffic has been diverted to N. Theard Street as repairs are underway.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area as crews work to resolve the issue. 

“We appreciate your patience and understanding,” the Facebook post stated.
