TAMPA, Fla. — Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine is expected to strengthen into a hurricane as it continues its track toward Florida’s Panhandle. Although it is too soon to specify exactly where the disturbance is heading, areas along the Florida Gulf Coast, including the Tampa Bay region, should prepare for potential impacts from storm surge, heavy rainfall and strong winds.
