BURGAW, N.C. (WECT) – The Parks Foundation of Burgaw, Inc. is hosting a Mayor’s Gala to raise money for a new community splash pad at Bishop Rayford Hankins Memorial Park.
The gala will bring community members, local businesses, civic leaders, and supporters to honor Mayor Olivia Dawson’s accomplishments and the town’s growth and success. The event features dinner, live entertainment and a keynote speech from Mayor Dawson.
“We are thrilled to celebrate the progress we’ve made as a community and raise funds for such an exciting project that will benefit families and children for years to come,” said Sydney Lewis, Parks Foundation Chairperson. “The splash pad will provide a safe and fun space for our youth and help make our town an even more vibrant place to live, work, and play.”
A silent auction with several prizes will also be held, and all proceeds will go directly to the splash …
