Mayor Olivia Chow is promising to improve Toronto’s notorious congestion by providing funding for more traffic wardens in the upcoming city budget.

At a press conference at the busy downtown intersection of King Street and University Avenue on Thursday, the mayor said the 2025 spending plan set to be released on Monday will include an additional $3 million to increase the city’s complement of traffic agents to 100. It’s currently at about 25.
