Tony Goldwyn and Kerry Washington Have Surprise DNC ‘Scandal’ Reunion [Video]

There was a surprise mini Scandal reunion at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Thursday, Aug. 22.

Kerry Washington, 47, took the stage to deliver a speech as the host of the evening’s events in the lead-up to Kamala Harris, 59, accepting the Democratic Party’s nomination for president.

“I am the one standing on this stage but I am not the lead character in this story,” Washington told the crowd, telling voters, “You are.”

“You are the fixers, dare I say it, you are the Olivia Popes,” the actress added, referencing her crisis management expert Scandal character, while voters cheered.

“You are the superheroes saving this democracy, it is you! Not me… who have the greatest power to convince your loved ones to vote,” Washington continued to tell the audience.
