Tomahawk Food Pantry asks for community support [Video]

TOMAHAWK, Wis. (WSAW) – With high grocery store prices for food items, the Tomahawk Food Pantry needs community support.

The pantry has struggled to buy the amount of food needed to feed the people they serve.

“Right now, in this community, we’ve gone through food faster and it’s more expensive, so the need has risen, and the cost has risen,” Tom Kelley, a Board Member for the Tomahawk Food Pantry, said. “Our cupboards are low and we really need to replenish them before the winter season. That’s why we’re calling out to the community and anybody else out there who can help us to please send us some money so that we can buy in bulk and can give more away to people.”

The bulk pricing for the pantry’s basics has increased, making it harder to keep up with the community’s needs.
