Tiny home village for homeless veterans nearing completion in Longmont [Video]

LONGMONT, Colo. (KDVR) — Sometimes a big problem requires a tiny solution.

So a veterans charity in Longmont is helping tackle the big issue of homelessness among veterans by building a tiny home village.

“The build alone has had probably close to 1,500 individual donors contribute to it,” said Jennifer Seybold, executive director of Veterans Community Project Longmont.

The soon-to-be-completed tiny home village is one of seven constructed around the country to help with transitional housing for veterans trying to get back on their feet. They can stay in the homes for up to two years.

“No expense to the veteran to live here. So what I like to say is that their expense is really just like working on themselves and being dedicated to that improvement and being permanent housing ready,” Seybold told FOX31.
