TEENAGERS on Instagram in the UK now have new safety aspects automatically added to their accounts that limit what they can see and who can contact them.
The social media app launched Instagram Teen Accounts on Tuesday in the UK, US and Canada, and Irish teens and those in the EU will be subjected to the same later this year.
Some features will include limiting who can contact young people and what they see.
All accounts will automatically be made private, and parents will be able to supervise who is messaging them. Sleep mode will mute all notifications at night time, and with parental control, they can decide how long a child can use Instagram.
