Thunderstorms with marble-sized hail to hit Wallowa County Thursday [Video]

The National Weather Service issued a report at 3:52 p.m. on Thursday for strong thunderstorms until 4:15 p.m. for Wallowa County.

The storms are foreseen to bring marble-sized hail (0.5 inches).

“At 3:51 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm near Paradise, or 31 miles north of Enterprise, moving north at 15 mph,” according to the weather service. “Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.”

The alert is for Flora and Paradise.

The weather service comments, “If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.”
