PALESTINE, Texas (KETK) – The Palestine Police Department is searching for three people after several different kinds of drugs were found in a home on Texas Avenue recently.
Hawkins ISD superintendent arrested for driving while intoxicated
According to a Palestine PD press release, Jerryl Mims Sr, 51, was arrested by a detective from the Palestine PD Street Crimes Unit on Thursday, Aug. 29 after leaving his house on Texas Avenue.
The detective was reportedly familiar with Mims and found a warrant for his arrest for failure to maintain financial responsibility.
Mims was reportedly clutching a bag of suspected methamphetamines and had another bag of suspected methamphetamine in the seat of his vehicle. In total, Palestine PD said he had over 13 grams of methamphetamine.
A search warrant was conducted at Mims’ home on Texas Avenue and the following amounts of drugs were reportedly found there:
