Three candidates will be interview for Chief of Police for MPD [Video]

MIDLAND, Texas — Midland residents will get the opportunity this week to meet the finalists for the Midland Police Department (MPD) Chief of Police position.

The meet and greet will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Bush Convention Center, 105 N. Main St.  

According to Strategic Communications Officer Stewart Doreen, the candidates are “interim Police Chief Greg Snow, former Alliance, Nebraska Police Chief Phillip Lukens and former Colorado Regional Transportation District Chef Joel Fitzgerald.”

“The three are looking to replace Seth Herman, who left MPD to take the same position with the Lubbock Police Department,” Doreen said. 

The finalists will also meet MPD leaders, the City of Midland’s executive team and department leaders.
