GATLINBURG, Tenn. (WVLT) – Gatlinburg businesses are still tallying the numbers from last week’s Fantasy of Lights parade in Gatlinburg.
Tax revenues from that weekend will report in three months, but right now, we know hotels were 97% full.
More than 60,000 people came into town just for the parade.
Businesses said this helps during a time of year that could be really slow for business.
“We’re very fortunate a lot of our Parkway hotels right on the Parkway do great. They get a lot of business, and of course it trickles over into our other hotels,” said Katie Mullins with Hospitality Solutions. “It does mean a lot for Gatlinburg helping to kick-off the Christmas spirit and gets everyone in the Christmas spirit.
