Thom Latimer Beats EC3, Wins NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title [Video]

Thom Latimer has won the gold.

The National Wrestling Alliance started airing NWA 76 on the October 1 episode of NWA Powerrr. The show aired on X, and in the main event, Latimer defeated EC3 to win the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. In doing so, he captured the title for the first time. The match was taped at NWA 76 on August 31, but it aired on a delay.

EC3 held the title for 370 days. He previously defeated Tyrus to win the title at NWA 75 on August 27, 2023. As previously noted by NWA, EC3 defended the title over 30 times. During the Lightning One era under Billy Corgan, only Nick Aldis had more defenses throughout his 1,043-day reign.

Latimer has been with NWA since 2019. He is a former NWA National Heavyweight Champion, World Tag Team Champion, and World Television Champion.
