MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) -Downtown Meridian hosted its 14th annual candy crawl Saturday afternoon.

This event took place from 1 pm until 4 pm, as businesses downtown gave out candy while gaining support from the community.

The event was free to attend, and everyone who came out wore their favorite costume and enjoyed the family-friendly fun and lots of candy.

Marshayla Carter talks more about the Downtown Candy Crawl event.

“So every time I come to the candy crawl, there’s actually more businesses than I’ve known to be here. So, umm, I think that you should definitely come out to the candy crawl. It’s you’ll have a good and fun time,” Carter says.

All of the kids enjoyed dressing up in their Halloween costumes and trick-or-treating with their families.
