TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) – The third annual Addiction and Recovery Summit was held on Tuesday.
The United Way of Northeast Mississippi and the Health Alliance of Northeast Mississippi held the summit at Cadence Bank Arena, with more than 30 vendors providing information about their services.
Guest speakers talked about stories of recovery, mental health awareness, and law enforcement crisis response.
The summit focused on education and addiction recovery resources.
The Health Alliance was formed three years ago to increase mental health resources in school systems.
The alliance also tackles health and addiction issues with our local homeless population.
