BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – How often do you consider the woman running breakfast at your hotel or the man helping you with your purchase at your favorite tourist spot? Oftentimes, these essential workers are overlooked in the world of tourism and hospitality, but not at the Southern Kentucky Hospitality Association’s third annual Hospitality Star Awards.
There were 18 awards given away Tuesday evening, ranging from “Best Breakfast Attendant” to “Maintenance Engineer Star.”
“These are the people whose faces are the first one you see, and they work so hard all year long,” said Telia Butler, Bowling Green Downtown Development Coordinator and winner of the Community Service Star Award. “It’s really great to see everyone across the industry come together to celebrate one another and also say thank you for all that you do.”
