MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Theodore man was arrested after Mobile Police Department officers found drugs during a traffic stop.

MPD said in a press release that officers arrested 35-year-old Brandon Leonard Johnson on Thursday, Aug. 1, following a traffic stop near Cherokee Street and Dublin Street.

According to the release, when officers were approaching the vehicle they saw drugs and a large sum of cash on the passenger seat.
Johnson was charged with trafficking marijuana and was booked into the Mobile Metro Jail. He was released on a $15,000 bond from METRO BONDING, according to the jail log.
