CD Projekt has confirmed development is in full swing on The Witcher 4, over two years after it was originally announced.
While we’ve known about the existence of The Witcher 4 for over two years, following a logo reveal in 2022, the next instalment in the series is still shrouded in mystery.
Technically, it’s still unknown if it will be called ‘The Witcher 4’, with developer CD Projekt referring to it by the codename Polaris. What we do know is it will be the first game in a new trilogy, and will involve original protagonist Geralt in some capacity – but not necessarily as the lead.
After previously stating full production on Polaris would kick off in the second half of 2024, CD Projekt has now officially confirmed the move.
