The UKs biggest weathervane lands in Lowestoft [Video]

Clucking hell, there’s a new oversized icon in town—at Ness Point, Lowestoft, to be exact.

Standing at 21 feet tall and 11 feet wide, the UK’s largest weathervane has arrived, courtesy of Kellogg’s.

This isn’t just any weather-tracking contraption; it’s a massive homage to their mascot, Cornelius the Cockerel.

Perched at the UK’s most easterly point, where the sunrise is first to hit, this gigantic weathervane is no static art piece.

It’s fully functional.

Agency Taylor Herring delivered the campaign with production from St Marks Studios.

Boasting a 10-foot-tall Cornelius, the structure is a love letter to Britain’s obsession with weather—an obsession that, according to Kellogg’s research, racks up to nine minutes of daily chatter per Brit, or a wild 1,462 days over a lifetime.

Cornelius, who’s graced Corn Flakes boxes since 1958, took two months to come to life thanks to a crack team of sculptors and engineers.
