MEDFORD, Ore. – The third annual Medford Pride event occurred at Pear Blossom Park. Hundreds of family members and friends gathered Saturday as the goal was to make the community feel safe and accepted.
“We want them to feel like they belong because everybody belongs here at pride. There’s nobody that is excluded,” said Rikki Rosenthal, of the Southern Oregon Health Equity Coalition and Pride Organizer.
Organizers say they spend half of the year planning the event, all being organized by volunteers working to ensure a safe and family friendly pride.
