The Sanford Community Center hosted their 8th annual TexMex fundraiser to support local students [Video]

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – The Sanford Community Center hosted its 8th annual TexMex Fundraiser Sunday afternoon at the Morningside Bible Church.

On Sunday, Dec. 15 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., Siouxland was able to support the non-profit in a delicious way, enjoying the taste of tacos from Rudy Navarrete’s Mexican Food while bidding on silent auction items, all donated by local businesses.

Fitz Grant, the Executive Director of Sanford Community Center, says it’s great seeing so many people come to support local students.

“It was awesome, over the noon hour we had close to 100 people that came and it feels real good to know that we have people in this community that supports our agency,” said Grant. “We’ve been in business since 1933, so it feels good even in spite of the weather conditions to have people come out and just help us you know meet some of …
