SPONSORED: The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County is partnering with the Food Bank of Northern Nevada for its annual Stuff A Bus Holiday Food Drive. The event will happen at the Sam’s Club on Kietzke Lane, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday, December 12.
“Spread the word,” Josh MacEachern, RTC Public Information Officer said. “You can drive by and RTC will have staff available to help unload any food donations from your car. I was there last year and was honestly overwhelmed by the support we got from the community.”
The Food Bank of Northern Nevada recommends donating foods that are high in protein like peanut butter or canned meats. Other non-perishable foods include canned items, oatmeal, rice, canned fruits and veggies, non-perishable and packaged snack items, baby formula and baby food.
