SPONSORED: The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County is encouraging people to be safe on New Years Eve, especially on the roads.
“We say this again and again,” Josh MacEachern, RTC Public Information Officer said. “If you’re impaired, don’t get behind the wheel. Consider ride share, designate a driver, or use public transit.”
The RTC is offering free rides on RTC buses 6 p.m.-2 a.m. New Years Eve to make sure the community can celebrate safely.
Not all areas are served by transit, so it’s a great idea to plan your trip in advance. Customers can go online to rtcwashoe.com and use the “Trip Planner” feature to get step-by-step directions, or download the Transit App to their smartphone to get the latest information.
