The Right Path and Belpre Heights Church hold Back to School Bash [Video]

BELPRE, OH (WTAP) -The bash held a backpack giveaway with kids getting their own backpack full of different kinds of school supplies like crayons, pencils, and pencil cases for every kid.

The Right Path of Washington County was also offering a free farmers market for kids to pick out fresh produce.

Both groups were happy to see the community of Belpre come together and be involved with the event.

“We’re just trying to help the community out,” said Lisa Lane from the Belpre Heights Church. “We’ve gotten a lot of donations from the community, which’s helped out a lot.”

“It’s been a great partnership because usually we have it at the pool,” said Cathy Harper from The Right Path of Washington County. Since the pool wasn’t open this year, we decided to have it someway so we could be connected and connect kids with the community.”
