The 50th anniversary of Robert A. Caro’s Pulitzer Prize-winning biography, The Power Broker: Robert Moses and the Fall of New York, is being celebrated in a special way — and everyone who has been carrying the hefty tome around is about to rejoice.
On Thursday, Sept. 12, publishing company Alfred A. Knopf announced the book — which was first published in hardcover on Sept. 16, 1974 — would finally be getting a digital edition to mark five decades since its release. The book is also the subject of a read-along podcast miniseries hosted by 99% Invisible.
“I wanted an Ebook that would have fidelity to the physical book,” Caro, 88, said of the digital release, per a press release obtained by PEOPLE. The nonfiction book documents the ups and downs of Former Secretary of State of New York and urban planner Moses’ life and career.
