The online real estate company Opendoor has compiled a list of the top 20 hottest zip codes of 2024. Over the past few years, the company has noticed people moving away from city centers, preferring tighter-knit communities that still have quick access to cities. This year, the areas growing in popularity are known for being fast-growing cities with healthy job growth. The top four zip codes topping the list are in Texas while others rounding out the list are in Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

To create the list of the most popular zip codes, Opendoor looked at data from the local Multiple Listing Services (MLS) and then ranked the zip codes by total homes that went into contract within 90 days of listing in 2024.
