The Marty Bus seeks to expand its operations [Video]

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – ‘The Marty Bus’ is looking to add a one-story rental building to its operations to serve more community members.

The community resource operated by the Community Outreach Task Force is in service all year on Wednesdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. They aim to connect people to their future by taking them to other resources they need in the community. They provide free meals for up to 60 people when they are open and hand out free essentials including hygiene products, clothing, and items like hand warmers during the colder months.

The organization said it has served over 4,000 meals in the past year and hopes to continue providing these services, but to do so, it needs more space. The bus can only seat about 20 people during winter because organizers store supplies on board.
