Legion Field, the home of the Magic City Classic, has played host to countless moments of triumph, heartbreak and unity for nearly a century. Historically called the Old Gray Lady, it has served as hallowed ground for thousands of sports fans and those who’ve played here.Since opening in 1927, the historic venue has hosted numerous significant events outside of the Classic, including Alabama Crimson Tide games, the annual Iron Bowl rivalry, and even several soccer matches during the 1996 Summer Olympics.”Legion Field has held down many events, not only football.
