The Hope Fund eliminates financial barrier for mammograms in the Big Country [Video]

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) — For the past twenty years, Hendrick Medical Center has hosted women across the Big Country for a fun game of Bunco to support breast cancer awareness.

Brad Benham, vice president of Hendrick Medical Center Foundation, said the fund behind the fundraiser has been supporting women in the community with their health.

“As a way to both raise awareness about the importance of mammograms, as well as to raise money so that any woman in our community who couldn’t afford a mammogram, maybe they didn’t have insurance or they just had financial issues, was able to have funds available so that they would be able to have their annual scan,” Benham said.
