HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – Nearly one year ago, popular local restaurant The Greek Place was forced to close their Holyoke Mall location after serving the community for decades.
Since shutting their doors, customers have longed for the restaurant’s return, which could be soon!
“There was good times there was hard times but at the end it was a wonderful time. Met a lot of nice people throughout the years, wonderful customers, was very blessed,” original owner of The Greek Place, Maria Muche told us. “It meant the world to me, the support the customers showed us. They cried and we cried. I cried the most I think.”
From December 1979 to November 2023, Maria and her son Antonios served homemade Greek classics out of a small spot in the cafe square, gaining a massive base of customers.
