The 2025 SAG Award nominations came with several snubs and surprises to shake up awards season.
SAG-AFTRA unveiled the nominees for the 31st annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on Wednesday, Jan. 8, an announcement that was muted due to the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles.
Canceling a live, in-person presentation, the nominations were instead shared in a press release, which acknowledged the “devastating” fires.
“Our thoughts are with everyone impacted — the residents, first responders, and all those working tirelessly to protect the community,” SAG-AFTRA said in a statement, adding, “To support impacted members of our artist community, donations can be made to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, which operates a natural disaster relief fund.”
Kristen Bell will host the SAG Awards, which will stream live on Netflix on Sunday, Feb. 23, at 8 p.m. ET from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles.
