WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The Nights of Lights event at the Bellamy Mansion Museum started Dec. 19 and runs until Dec. 21.
It’s a yearly opportunity to stroll through the mansion and the original slave quarters to see the holiday decorations.
Many of the spaces have a theme like the gingerbread room or the angel room. They also try to capture how the original owners would have decorated in the 1800s.
Attendees also were able to take pictures with Santa Claus, who was dressed in traditional European blue attire.
The executive director of the Museum says this event continues to be popular.
