Terrebonne community honors the life of 7-year-old killed by bus [Video]

Friends and family of the 7-year-old boy who was killed during a school bus crash are gathering Sunday night to remember him. The vigil is being held for Jeremiah Falgout. State police say he was hit by a bus at his drop-off spot Thursday afternoon. The vigil will be held at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Pointe-aux-Chenes at 7 p.m. The Terrebonne Parish School District released a statement saying, “The Terrebonne Parish School District Community suffered a devastating school bus accident on Thursday, August 23, 2024, resulting in the loss of one of our Montegut Elementary students. “Our deepest condolences go out to the student’s family, friends, and loved ones in this difficult time. “No words can truly express the sorrow and heartbreak felt in a moment like this.
