Tennessee State Parks hosting New Years hiking event [Video]

The free event will be led by park rangers and is open to interested hikers of all ages.

TENNESSEE, USA — Looking to exercise more in 2025? Tennessee State Parks is hosting an event to kickstart your resolution for the new year.

The free ‘First Day Hikes’ event takes place on Jan. 1 and features a series of guided hikes at various parks across the state, according to a press release.

The free hikes, led by park rangers, are available to everyone of all ages and abilities upon registration. With more than 1,000 miles of trails, journeys vary from easy walks to strenuous excursions, the release said.
