Teen missing from Boys Town in Omaha found [Video]

The 15-year-old boy on probation who was reported missing from Boys Town has been taken back into custody, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies with the Sheriff’s Office’s fugitive warrants team apprehended Jonathan Salado-Lorenzo Friday afternoon near South 15th Street and Spring Street, according to a press release.

Salado-Lorenzo had been missing since Dec. 31. He is one of two 13-year-olds initially charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of 13-year-old Lenny Rodriguez in Hanscom Park. Salado-Lorenzo accepted a plea agreement to reduced charges of manslaughter and unlawful possession of a handgun.

The other teen accused in the killing, Salado-Lorenzo’s cousin Erik Juarez-Salado, also admitted to reduced charges of accessory to first-degree murder and unlawful possession of a handgun.
