Brooklyn Park police shared they have not arrested any suspects as of Monday morning.
BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. — A 17-year-old boy is fighting for his life after he was shot in the chest Sunday night in Brooklyn Park.
The Brooklyn Park Police Department (BPPD) shared in a press release that officers responded to reports of a shooting at 6:15 p.m. at the 6500 block of 84th Court North.
When they arrived, officers found the teenager with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. BPPD said in the press release that he lost consciousness and was transported to a nearby hospital where he is now in critical condition.
BPPD shared they believe the victim and suspects had planned a marijuana sale. During the meetup, police said multiple suspects shot the victim and ran from the scene. BPPD has not located any suspects as of Monday morning.
