GREENWOOD, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Greenwood Police Department said a man is facing multiple charges following a shooting into a home on Wednesday.
According to the department, officers were called to Plowden Avenue for a report of shots being fired. Upon arrival, they found shell casings and identified a home that had been shot at.
Police said they began an investigation and in collaboration with the Abbeville County Sheriff’s Office, officials executed a search warrant in Abbeville County.
Officials stated 18-year-old Ja’Kwon Cornlious Elmore was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Greenwood County Detention Center. He has been charged with the following:
- (6 counts) Attempted murder
- Possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime
- Firing into a dwelling
