DENVER (KDVR) — Teenager Remi Cordova was convicted by a jury of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder related to a shooting that happened in 2021, the Denver District Attorney’s Office announced in a press release Friday.
On Feb. 20, 2021, Cordova shot and killed Pamela Cabriales, 32, with an AR-15 after a fender bender near Colfax Avenue and Interstate 25. Cordova was 14 at the time of the incident.

Cordova was charged and tried as an adult due to the severity of the crime.
He will be sentenced on Dec. 12 and due to his status as a juvenile at the time, will face a maximum of life in prison with the possibility of parole after 40 years.
