Teen arrested for social media threat to Kentucky high school [Video]

Marion County Public Schools were closed Monday after administrators found social media posts that made threats of violence against the school.

MARION COUNTY, Ky. — A teenage boy was arrested Monday after authorities say he threatened a Kentucky high school with gun violence on social media.

Marion County Public Schools in Kentucky announced yesterday classes would be cancelled for all students on Monday after officials were made aware of social media posts that made threats of violence to the school district.

“Out of an abundance of caution, there will be no school tomorrow Monday, September 9 in Marion County,” the post said. “The school district is currently working with local law enforcement as they investigate this issue. We will provide additional information to families as it becomes available.”
