POST FALLS, Idaho — A 19-year-old was arrested following a shooting on April 5 that left one person injured.
According to a press release from the Kootenai County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Devin Spring and 18-year-old Ashlan Hjelmstrom are accused of shooting at a car occupied by someone Spring knew, as the vehicle was stopped at a stop sign.
The prosecuting office said Spring used his cellphone to track the victim’s location while he and Hjelmstrom drove around the area until they found the car. The two suspects then parked in front of the car, and Spring exited with a handgun, confronting one of the victims. As the victim’s car began to drive away, Spring allegedly fired at the car, with Hjelmstrom also shooting several times as it fled.
